This federal program helps  households in need with heating costs, regardless of fuel type (oil, gas, electric, wood).

What it Covers: Heating bills, weatherization, furnace repairs, utility discount

If you have an electric or gas bill, your utility company offers financial assistance programs, often tied to LIHEAP eligibility, for discounted rates or bill help.

WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC provides healthy foods, personalized nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referrals to other services to support you and your family.

Call 211 to speak with a specialist who can connect you to local fuel assistance, utility help, and other social services.

The Mission of the Barre/Hardwick Council on Aging is to identify the needs of seniors in the community.

They advocate for and/or implement services by finding resources and coordinating services.
